perhaps, there is no sequel, Kameelah Janan Rasheed

2020

Powerful new public art commission at Rice University in Houston from former 516 ARTS exhibiting artist Kameelah Janan Rasheed.

From the Rice website: “Installed across four large-scale vinyl banners located in the lawn to the west of the Brochstein Pavilion, Rasheed’s new poetic gesture, titled “perhaps, there is no sequel,” grapples with concepts of futurity, certainty, and underscores critical issues of exclusion and vulnerability through lyrical yet unequivocal words.”
